Middle August, 2010
I have been student of ITB yet i haven't officially joined in SEF (student English Forum) ITB,(since the selection is in process), means I haven't had any affiliation in any debating entity.
As a highschool debaters, I have joined 20 debating competitions in 3 years. 11 trophies has been achieved from 4 champion, 5 runner-up and 2 3rd winner. my first HS debate competition was 3 days after student initiation and my last HS competition was 2 weeks after graduation. I have joined competitions in Tangerang, Jakarta, Depok, Bogor, and Jogjakarta. I've ride becak, becak motor, ojeg, angkot, bus kota, transjakarta, ecomony train, AC train, Executive Train, even Airplane to go to competitons..
one day, Phyxious English Debating Competition (PEDC), one of the biggest Highschool competition in Bandung, was held in Smukie bandung 18th-21st of August and my Juniors (Dito, Opi and Wieda) joined that competition and stay in my dorm.well, it kinda force me to be responsible for them in Bandung. Then I decided to skip my lecture then accompany them since the 2nd day of PEDC. and since i haven't got my adju accre, I decided to be trainee adju. actually I intended to have fun with bangkoters 2010 and meet some debaters :p
Then, I feel like have crossed another dimension and arrived in Debatopia, world of debating, where everyone have same interest in debating and have fun together. I spend 3 days full of debating in the day and hanging out in the evening with debaters from smukie, CC, 81, and Albertus. They are great friends! in the day of closing, I had to attend the 2nd initiation program of SEF in the morning then in the afternoon I watched Grandfinal of PEDC where SMA Albertus met SMAN 5 Bandung, in the motion "THW forcefully take Israel's leader to ICC". It was a tough debate i think. Albertus as gov made a very well justification yet has lame and unfeasible practical proposal. 5Bandung came with negative case but successfully tackled down gov's proposal. In the end the winner is
after the announcement, we managed to hang out to Ciwalk. we had dinner there (with occupying almost all Es teller 77), gossiping and taking picture. After that we played Mafia in Ciwalk! we played it until late night then security ask me to go due to the mall is gonna be closed soon. yet it didn't hinder us from having fun, WE MOVED TO McD! We continued playing Mafia on the floor of McD until 2.00 am because we knew that it was our last Day in PEDC Debatopia. after that night we gonna back to Muggle world, back to ordinary daily life..
"The door to Debatopia's PEDC has been closed. We're waiting in the muggle world the time when another door to Debatopia open and bring us to the another journey"

then Pieter, 3rd speaker of SMA Albertus, fulfilled his promise that is he would take off his pants if he could make to the Final1st runner-up : SMA Albertus Malang
