Jika ada yg bertanya "apa yg membuat kamu bangga masuk ITB?" gw bakal jawab "gw bangga masuk ITB karena gw menjadi bagian dari FTTM 2010!"
sungguh gw baru mengerti apa yg namanya "arogansi fakultas" di ITB. terdengar sangat buruk, namun ternyata makna dibalik itu adalah sebuah kebanggaan akan Fakultas dimana lu bernaung. Ketika lu harus kompak se-Fakultas buat nunjukin kalo Fakultas lu kompak dan asik bgt. Ini adalah satu budaya yang bikin ITB rame.
Acara Semarak 2010 yang isinya acara angkatan 2010 menunjukan eksistensi dari FTTM 2010.
iya, kita ga menang apa", cuma dapet salah satu performer terbaik, namun ada yg lebih baik. Tapi at least kita udah nunjukin kalo kita adalah salah satu faktor yg bikin acara ini rame. kita jadi penonton yg atraktif dan bikin rame didepan panggung *ehm* kalo yg perform cewek.
Banyak yg bilang kalo perform nya FTTM kemaren itu orisinil, keren dan mengejutkan. Pertama 10 org cowok dg baju koko dan sarung serta bertopeng masuk ke area perform dengan tujuan nari saman. mereka masuk dan duduk seperti penari saman pd umum nya. lalu tiba" mereka dikelilingi oleh para penari kecak yg membentuk 2 lapis lingkaran. penari kecak ber-cak-cak-ria lalu membuat gerakan duduk (masih dalam formasi melingkari penari saman bertopeng) dan mereka berbaring di tanah. lalu saman menunjukan atraksi nya. setelah saman selesai beratraksi, penari kecak kembali bangun dan membuat lingkaran yg rapatsambil bercak-cak-ria lagi dan tiba"... DHUAAR.. suara musik menggelegar, penari kecak mundur ke belakang dan jatuh terduduk. para penari saman bertopeng telah berganti kostum menjadi..POMPOM BOYS!
and the show was going on triumph of crowd. kocak! Keren! dan Paling berbeda!
Kami tampil dengan kaos angkatan yg pada saat itu hanya kami yg menggunakannya. terlihat kompak. dan ketika ada performer yg ada *ehm* cewek cantik, kita langsung maju kedepan dan langsung menjadi penonton yg paling heboh dengan meneriakan berbagai yel, joget dangdut, sampai mendukung performer yg cantik! ketika kami tak ada di panggung, panggung terlihat sepi. That was the great day because at least we can show who's the boss!
Cerita lain mengenai FTTM adalah : KAMI RASIS! tapi ketika ada toleransi semua tidak jadi masalah. Ras cina, jawa, batak, dll sering sering menjadi humor tetapi tidak terlalu parah, ejekan singkat mengenai keberagaman Indonesia. Bukan kah Indonesia menarik karena keberagaman itu? Kami beragam dan kami menikmati nya. karena setiap ras memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangannya masing".
FTTM 2010 juga memiliki perbedaan dengan fakultas bahkan angkatan manapun. Kami memiliki 3 pemimpin: 1 ketua dan 2 wakil. Pemilihan ketua angkatan yg kami lakukan berdasarkan diskusi dan kesepakatan seluruh anggota forum.jika ada 1 org yg tidak setuju, maka keputusan ini akan batal (seperti sistem unanimous decision di European Union). pemilihan ketua berlangsung alot. sampai memakan waktu sekitar 6 jam untuk memilih (tadinya) 1 ketua dan 1 wakil, namun karena persaingan sangat ketat dan kandidat sama" kuat, kami setuju untuk memiliki 1 ketua dan 2 wakil. awalnya saya kira ini akan bermasalah, namun ternyata kerja sang pemimin sangatlah luar biasa. mereka mampu membagi tugas dan menyelesaikan masalah dengan baik sesuai dengan karakter memereka masing". anak Bali. karakter nya cenderung pendiam tetapi dia dapat mengatur segala sesuatu dg baik. Orasi nya kurang bagus, namun ide nya sangat tajam dan dapat mengajak orang lain untuk terlibat. Sum adalah seperti Diplomat, dapat menjalin hubungan yg baik dengan fakultas lain dan menegosiasikan segala sesuatu dengan baik. disamping itu, Sum juga rajin mampus, nilai bagus, dan stamina paling kuda se-FTTM. lari keliling sabuga 6x cuma ngabisin waktu 9 menit 5detik.
Kemampuannya terbukti dengan terpilihnya dia sebagai Ketua dari acara angkatan 2010, Semarak. ia menjadi ketua panitia dengan cara diskusi dari seluruh ketua angkatan 2010. Ia juga mampu mengajak anakk FTTM untuk aktif dalam acara ini sehingga kami terlihat kompak dalam menjalankan acara ini.

Wakil yg yg ras nya sunda memiliki tipe nya dekat dengan anggota nya dan gampang bergaul. tugasnya mengkoordinir anak FTTM tiap kegiatan, ketika Sum (sering) ga ada (karena urusan diplomasi atau ngurus acara). Tesla mengkoordinir perform FTTM di semarak dan dia yg memutuskan perform nya gabungan kecak saman pompom. dia bisa ngebentuk tim buat ngurusin acara ini. Tesla care ke anggota nya.
Dias Anugerah Massewa
Wakil ini anak jakarta lulusan SMAN 8 Jkt. Dia orang nya sangat Fleksibel, bisa buat diplomasi dan ngurusin anggota ke bawah. pas pemilihan ketua angkatan ada pendukung nya yg bilang kalo dia lulusan 8, maka pasti bisa ngadepin masalah dan itu terbukti. Dias nilai"nya cukup bagus dan dia emang tergolong gaul sama anak" FTTM. acara semarak dia bantuin Sum jadi panitia, pas acara Bubar FTTM, dia yg nyediaiin tempat buat kita bubar di rumah nya.
well, perjalanan gw sama anak" FTTM baru aja di mulai. semoga kedepannya ntar banyak euphoria sama anak" FTTM lainnya. Sayang nya gw ga bisa nyebutin semua anak FTTM karena mereka semua punya karakter unik masing" . semua udah menjadi komponen dan punya peranannya masing" di FTTM!

Instict? Feeling? Sixth Sense?
terkadang sesuatu yang terlintas dipikiran gw tiba" terjadi.
dulu gw bilang sering dapet feeling dan itu terjadi. tapi, emang kebanyakan hal yg terjadi itu hal-hal yg tidak menentukan, ga significant dalam hidup gw. yah, just for fun aja..
mungkin contoh yg terjadi dalam beberapa hari belakangan ini adalah :
1. terlintas seseorang dalam pikiran gw
ini adalah kejadian yg paling sering. Jadi gw ga lagi mikirin seseorang itu, ga liat foto orang tersebut, tapi secara aneh ada hal yg kompleks dan tiba" pikiran gw menghubungkan kejadian/hal itu kepada seseorang yg tiba" aja terlintas di pikran gw secara tidak unconscious.
alam sadar gw secara reflek akan bertanya : "eh, apa kabar ya orang ini?"
dan tiba" beberapa jam kemudian orang ini sms gw. (sabtu, 30 November 2010)
well, pola seperti ini bervariasi. paling sering begitu ada seseorang yg terlintas dipikiran gw, berarti akan ada cerita/kabar dengan orang ini tak lama kemuadian. kadang langsung, bebrapa jam, atau beberapa hari kemudian. contoh lain gw tiba" terlintas temen SD gw yg gw ga tau dia dimana. beberapa jam kemudian, dia add FB gw. ada juga yg kadang" terlintas dipikiran gw, ternyata beberapa saat kemudian, temen gw langsung ngomongin orang tersebut, padahal gw ga nyebut si orang tersebut.
Emang sih ga penting, karena ga pernah orang yg terlintas dipikiran gw meninggal/kecelakaan. cuma hal" yg ringan aja.
2. Terlintas suatu prediksi kejadian
alur lintasan di pikiran gw sama kayak yg pertama. tapi kalo yg ini biasanya kayak kalo kita lagi ngobrol terus ngomong "eh, jangan-jangan ntar ....."
contoh nyata pas 31Oktober 2010, gw lagi nungguin paket mainan gw. ada 2 mainan yg gw pesen : coin MMPR dari Amerika, sama Belt Kamen Rider W yg gw pesen dari temen di Jakarta.
coin MMPR itu udah gw pesen lebih dari sebulan yg lalu. bahkan gw pikir barang itu ga nyampe karena emang sering terjadi International shipping dari seller ga nyampe. sedangkan 4 hari yg lalu gw pesen Belt dari temen gw yg di jakarta, dan barang itu harusnya sampai dalam waktu maks. 3 hari.
tapi pas udah pas hari ke 3, tiba" terlintas "jangan-jangan barang gw ug dari amerika bakal sampe duluan nih daripada beltnya". dan beberapa menit kemudian ada sms dari seller belt yg di Jakarta. dia bilang kalo belom sempat ngirim belt nya karena istrinya lagi melahirkan, jadi beberapa hari lagi baru dikirim. ajaibnya, sejam kemudian ada kurir JNE yg datang dan membawakan paket coin dari amerika buat gw. wew.
hal ini udah sering bgt terjadi berkali" sampe gw lupa apa aja kejadiian kayak gini. semoga hal ini adalah berkah. amin

shame, we lost embarrassingly in Final. we don't realize how suck the final was, yet it is really shame when we knew about it. Wrong direction, Bad packaging, and lame justification (at that time even we didn't know what justification is)
When we asked for assessment one of the adjudicator come and offered himself to coach us
His name is Ahmad Naufal Da'i from UI and he started to coach us.
Thursday, February 26th 2009 was our very first meeting. It was the day that we have dreamed about. because since English Club was established in my school, even when its name was SMAN 1 Serpong (well known as SMAN 1 Cisauk and Now SMAN 2 Tangerang Selatan) we haven't had any coach but seniors. and we were a conventional debaters, means we just join a competition when we got the invitation yet we were noone at that time in debating. Yes, our seniors have joined ISDC as representative of Banten due to it has lack of experienced debaters (or even all conventional debaters at that time).
He came bring nothing but Magic. at the first meeting he explained the basic of debating that we don't know. he explain how to make a good elaboration, how to set the case and how to rebuttal other arguments. Just one meeting he successfully bring Champion title to us in ED.com (see my post about ED.com). we successfully beaten CC, Smukie bandung, even the host 14 Jakarta whose were all 3rd graders. we got some compliment from adju about our elaboration. We really grateful has a coach

last but not least help Salsa and Detta Grabbing Gold Medal in ISDC for top 15 bestspeakers.
achievements for himself is more awesome. He won Founders Trophy 2009, IVED 2009, also runner-up NUEDC 2010 and many others.
Yet that are not the only thing that make me respect him. although he looks messy and awkward outside he has one admirable attitude that maybe only few people know about it. He struggle to coach us. FYI from Depok to my school takes at least 2 hours with train. And he has to take 2 trains and transit in Stasiun Jakarta kota. Everytime he coach us he has to trough long way and takes a lot of time but his payment isn't as that much. He always said that his objection to coach isn't money but it is for himself. We really enjoy having coach like him. we weren't just training but also having fun. Recent training has an interesting pattern. we spend 10 hours for training *ehm* 6 hours for the real training and 4 hours to have fun. usually we go to cinema or Karaoke.
Every meeting has its end. Naufal step down from coach position since my junior lost in Binus e comp 2010. Actually there is a promise betweeen them. Naufal would step down if they didn't make it as champion and they didn't. Shit sometimes happens.
But nothing to be grieve about. We shouldn't sad because it end, yet we should feel happy because we have meet even so short..

SEF ITB, my new Home in Debatopia
morning in 1st September 2010,
a Message that come into my cellphone enough to make me jump and scream like a girl. I was accepted in Student English Forum ITB!
After through 3 meetings of initiation program, compete with 290 candidates now another target has been accomplished. Sure it's not an end. It is the beginning of new world for me.
Another level of debatopia just unlocked. It's a varsity level! Let me review what happened in the initiation program.
day-1
The first meeting of SEF. all candidates was separated into 8 small groups. Each group was accompanied by one or two mentor(s). my mentor was Marsha. we got a job to pick 2 Brands that we like or dislike and we have to convince the others to feel the same on that Brand. we were given 1 minute to explain why we like/dislike that brand. This is a fun initiation program because you might find vary reason of liking/disliking a brand. sometimes there are some people who explain brands that compete each other. for example (in my group) one people chosen McD and the other choose KFC. it led to a conspiracy debate behind both brands. I was taking Power Ranger as my Brand :p I explain how good power rangers as our role model due to 2 reasons. 1st they are college students just like us yet they can manage their time well so they can juggle between study and fight. the 2nd they have influence all over the world. everyone (who have happy childhood) They must know about power rangers!
The Thing that we can take from this program was How to convince people. In debate we have to convince the adjudicators about the case that we brought.
day-2
Again we were separated into small group. But the task was different. we were in case of almost-sinking-ship and there just one Life Jacket. So, we had to take role as character that have been mentioned by our mentor. we can picked one from the list given. there were names such Ariel peterporn, Lady Gaga, Tiger woods, Megawati, Adam Lambert, etc. actually it was the day when Grand Final PEDC was held, right beside ITB (sabuga). so i couldn't enjoy it very much. (I did enjoy the Final and after-Final-Party in PEDC, that I described in my previous post Debatopia: World of debating)
The thing comes from this program was how we analyze nature and character of something and compare it to another to prove which one is the best.
There was another task in that day. We were given a paper written some case and we have to justify the action was done in that case.There were question about Genocide, Right of the defendant, gay marriage,etc. It was the test for how we justify something
day-3
Last day of initiation. Again we were separated into small groups and we have groups discussion and some modified-debating-system. 3 groups debated in a match but despite having opp-gov team we consider team from stakeholders. so in the motion of Corporal punihment, there are 3 stakeholders consist of Parents who agree of it, Parent who don't agree and Teacher who agree. But before the discussion was started, all HS debaters was called and notified to be more silent in the discussion in order to let non-HS debaters think and show their skill.
The point of this program was how we see a case from one stakeholder point of view and other point of view.
well, It just a beginning of New Level in Debatopia. I have opened its gate and The first destination that I saw is NEWBIE COMPETITION!

I have been student of ITB yet i haven't officially joined in SEF (student English Forum) ITB,(since the selection is in process), means I haven't had any affiliation in any debating entity.
As a highschool debaters, I have joined 20 debating competitions in 3 years. 11 trophies has been achieved from 4 champion, 5 runner-up and 2 3rd winner. my first HS debate competition was 3 days after student initiation and my last HS competition was 2 weeks after graduation. I have joined competitions in Tangerang, Jakarta, Depok, Bogor, and Jogjakarta. I've ride becak, becak motor, ojeg, angkot, bus kota, transjakarta, ecomony train, AC train, Executive Train, even Airplane to go to competitons..
one day, Phyxious English Debating Competition (PEDC), one of the biggest Highschool competition in Bandung, was held in Smukie bandung 18th-21st of August and my Juniors (Dito, Opi and Wieda) joined that competition and stay in my dorm.well, it kinda force me to be responsible for them in Bandung. Then I decided to skip my lecture then accompany them since the 2nd day of PEDC. and since i haven't got my adju accre, I decided to be trainee adju. actually I intended to have fun with bangkoters 2010 and meet some debaters :p
Then, I feel like have crossed another dimension and arrived in Debatopia, world of debating, where everyone have same interest in debating and have fun together. I spend 3 days full of debating in the day and hanging out in the evening with debaters from smukie, CC, 81, and Albertus. They are great friends! in the day of closing, I had to attend the 2nd initiation program of SEF in the morning then in the afternoon I watched Grandfinal of PEDC where SMA Albertus met SMAN 5 Bandung, in the motion "THW forcefully take Israel's leader to ICC". It was a tough debate i think. Albertus as gov made a very well justification yet has lame and unfeasible practical proposal. 5Bandung came with negative case but successfully tackled down gov's proposal. In the end the winner is
after the announcement, we managed to hang out to Ciwalk. we had dinner there (with occupying almost all Es teller 77), gossiping and taking picture. After that we played Mafia in Ciwalk! we played it until late night then security ask me to go due to the mall is gonna be closed soon. yet it didn't hinder us from having fun, WE MOVED TO McD! We continued playing Mafia on the floor of McD until 2.00 am because we knew that it was our last Day in PEDC Debatopia. after that night we gonna back to Muggle world, back to ordinary daily life..

As a highschool debaters, I have joined 20 debating competitions in 3 years. 11 trophies has been achieved from 4 champion, 5 runner-up and 2 3rd winner. my first HS debate competition was 3 days after student initiation and my last HS competition was 2 weeks after graduation. I have joined competitions in Tangerang, Jakarta, Depok, Bogor, and Jogjakarta. I've ride becak, becak motor, ojeg, angkot, bus kota, transjakarta, ecomony train, AC train, Executive Train, even Airplane to go to competitons..
one day, Phyxious English Debating Competition (PEDC), one of the biggest Highschool competition in Bandung, was held in Smukie bandung 18th-21st of August and my Juniors (Dito, Opi and Wieda) joined that competition and stay in my dorm.well, it kinda force me to be responsible for them in Bandung. Then I decided to skip my lecture then accompany them since the 2nd day of PEDC. and since i haven't got my adju accre, I decided to be trainee adju. actually I intended to have fun with bangkoters 2010 and meet some debaters :p
Then, I feel like have crossed another dimension and arrived in Debatopia, world of debating, where everyone have same interest in debating and have fun together. I spend 3 days full of debating in the day and hanging out in the evening with debaters from smukie, CC, 81, and Albertus. They are great friends! in the day of closing, I had to attend the 2nd initiation program of SEF in the morning then in the afternoon I watched Grandfinal of PEDC where SMA Albertus met SMAN 5 Bandung, in the motion "THW forcefully take Israel's leader to ICC". It was a tough debate i think. Albertus as gov made a very well justification yet has lame and unfeasible practical proposal. 5Bandung came with negative case but successfully tackled down gov's proposal. In the end the winner is

1st runner-up : SMA Albertus Malang
2nd runner-up : SMAN 2 Tangsel
then Pieter, 3rd speaker of SMA Albertus, fulfilled his promise that is he would take off his pants if he could make to the Final1st runner-up : SMA Albertus Malang

after the announcement, we managed to hang out to Ciwalk. we had dinner there (with occupying almost all Es teller 77), gossiping and taking picture. After that we played Mafia in Ciwalk! we played it until late night then security ask me to go due to the mall is gonna be closed soon. yet it didn't hinder us from having fun, WE MOVED TO McD! We continued playing Mafia on the floor of McD until 2.00 am because we knew that it was our last Day in PEDC Debatopia. after that night we gonna back to Muggle world, back to ordinary daily life..

epilogue 2 : Bilingual Class
Pertama masuk SMAN 1 Cisauk sebagai kelas bilingual angkatan pertama, adalah hal mewaarnai kehidupan highschool gw. we have through 3 years of highschool together just like a family. kelas kita 3 tahun ga pernah diacak, tetapi emang setiap taun ada "tradisi" kehilangan satu teman yg pindah. pas naik ke kelas 2 Alana pindah ke SMAN 70 dg alasan adek nya mau sekolah di jakarta dan dia disuruh nemenin. naik ke kelas 3 giliran Gama yang harus pindah ke virginia karena mengikuti AFS. jadi pada saat kelas 1 ada 25 org siswa bilingual dan ketika lulus hanya ada 23 orang yg "bertahan". lets recall what i've experienced in 3 years.
Pertama kali masuk mabis, kabnyakan dari anak" bilingual ini adalah lulusan dari patex, jd gw ga terlalu canggung. we were starting to know each other. Fandi masih aneh, Gama masih sangat pendiem, kiki masih gendut (emang gendut terus) dan lain-lain. tahun awal kita masih dibuai sama janji" palsu sekolah yg mau buat kelas 2 bahasa yg ideal padahal ujung"nya bahasa inggris cuma bahasa selingan doang. keadaan kelas juga ga memungkinkan buat ngobrol sehari-hari pake bahasa inggris karena canggung.
akhirnya setelah tiga tahun..... JENG JEEEENG. bahasa inggris cuma di pake kalo ulangan doang -_____-
sejujurnya gw menyesal harus membayar mahal cuma buat fasilitas doang.
But i don't regret classmate that i got. Sejelek-jeleknya mereka, mereka masih bisa di ejekin. hahaha..
3 taun sekelas kita udah saling mengenal sampe busuk"nya tiap anak. Kita sering berantem"an tapi sering saling membantu. Kadang ejek"an tapi ulangan kita bersatu. oops.
terlalu banyak cerita dikelas ini yang ga mungkin gw tulis semua di blog ini.
pada taun pertama, kelas ini berasa saingan terus. ga ada yg namanya contek mencontek bersama. paling juga si Ajeng, yg kelas 1 semesteran pertama kali pake contekan terus ketauan sama bu Saleha terus langsung di semprot bahkan sampe jadi omongan guru" di ruang guru. tapi seiring berjalannya waktu, setiap semesteran ada "briefing pagi" untuk membahas "rautan-serutan" dan pos-posnya. sebuah strategi matang menghadapi kejamnya ulangan. jadi setiap expertis dari setiap pelajaran akan menjadi 'pos' atau sumber jawaban. dimana tugas mereka adalah meletakan jawaban mereka pada rautan yg tersedia. nanti yg butuh bantuan tinggal menyebut kata kunci 'rautan' lalu semua berhasil. sebenernya ada 2 kata kunci yg kami miliki 'rautan' dan 'pengserut' kalo 'rautan' untuk meminta jawaban, maka 'pengserut' hanya untuk minta rautan tanpa kunci.
Kejadian yg pasti akan diingat adalah saat kelas 2 bikin drama. tugas akhir pelajaran kesenian kita harus membuat drama sekelas dan ditonton oleh penonton dari kelas lain. ketika itu kami mengambil tema kisah cinta pemuda pribumi dengan gadis kompeni. namun yg menjadikan itu pengalaman menarik adalah prosesnya. kami sempat bertengkar karena tidak kompaknya kelas kami, namun akhirnya kami dapat kompak saat ngerjain nada yg ulang tahun. Nada adalah anak paling pendiam di kelas. kita mengerjainya sampai dia nangis kejer. kalo diinget" kasian juga nada saat itu :p
lalu ada proyek pentas musik. kita serasa Highschool musical bgt. tapi kita ada beberapa lagu kita menampilkan koreo terus kita lypsync aja. diakhir pentas itu saat yang mengharukan karena itu pentas terakhir kami bersama gama sebelum ia pindah setahun ke virginia.
senior year yang tinggal 23 orang, kita udah puncak busuk"nya kelas. ad3 ota 'perang biling' di twitter yaitu perang ejek"an dengan membuat Retweet palsu. kelas pun terbagi 2 kubu yg saling ejek seru"an. ada juga yg netral, maksudnya ikutan ngejek kalo ada satu kubu yg terpojok. diakhir tahun, saat semuanya udah serius mempersiapkan masa depan, ada 3 orang pertama dari kelas bilingual yang masuk UGM awal. Ian masuk elektro, salsa masuk HI, Tantia masuk komunikasi. Mereka lah yg berjasa membuat gw iri mampus udah dapet PTN sampe gw sering cabut kelas buat belajar ITB. akhirnya gw bisa masuk ITB juga sekarang.

Pagi ini awal tahun ajaran baru SMA
namun aku tersadar masa SMA ku sudah berlalu
berlalu seakan mimpi indah yg berlalu cepat
mungkin beberapa belum sadar jika kita akan segera berpisah
berpisah menuju masa depan dan jalan hidup kita sendiri.
semua karena kita terbiasa 3 tahun bersama
bersama dan tak terpisahkan..
